Hostess gifts. Can we bring that back? Taking the time to look at, touch and feel items of quality that remind of us a time when artful craftsmanship meant something... THAT is something that I miss. Can we bring that back?
When a tangible gift is selected, wrapped and delivered/presented intentionally, (albeit small or grand) there is no question that the recipient feels warmth and delight in that gesture. Much like creating a hand written note, gift giving can take some time and consideration. Time is the one thing that you can never get back and it also holds value that knows no price tag. What greater way to express respect and fondness for someone than to take the time to give them a personally selected gift or a hand written note of thanks or gratitude. I'm seeing that people miss receiving gifts that they can treasure. Gifts that allow them to remember... and to feel connection... to know that they were thought of, that they are important and worth the time.
I want to be part of that. I am going to help people to make those kinds of beautiful gestures and connections. How glorious!
